Brooklyn Public Library's 2016 Annual Gala

Since 2005, Kim Posnett has served as the global co-head of internet investment banking at Goldman Sachs. In addition to fulfilling the responsibilities of this executive-level position, Kim Posnett sits on the board of the Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) in Brooklyn, New York. She helped organize the 2016 Annual Gala, one of the library's most popular fundraising events.

More than 400 distinguished guests attended the March 2016 gala in Williamsburg. The guests gathered at an upscale event space known as Weylin B. Seymour's. First Data Corporation's chairman and CEO Frank J. Bisignano and the online marketplace Etsy were honored during the dinner program; Etsy CEO Chad Dickerson and the chief financial officer Kristina Salen were in attendance. Following dinner, guests enjoyed dancing and socializing.

The 2016 gala raised a total of $770,000 for the Brooklyn Public Library. The donations will be used to care for and add to the library's extensive collection of materials, enhance BPL's digital library offerings, supplement the teen internship program, and assist with early childhood programming.
